It recognises transport operators who operate a robust system to:👉 Secure goods vehicles 👉 Prevent the carriage of clandestine entrants 👉 Maintain compliant inspection procedures The scheme is open to all hauliers and coach companies travelling to the United Kingdom. Membership is free. for fines imposed on their drivers. |
Key benefit: 50% Penalty ReductionYou must submit a formal written objection within 28 days of the penalty notice was issued.
Accredited companies may benefit from: 👉A 50% reduction from the maximum penalty starting point 👉 Protection for both the company and its drivers 👉Public listing as an accredited operator on the GOV.UK website From 1 January 2026, drivers employed by an accredited company at the time of an incident may also benefit from the reduction. |

Under the Clandestine Entrant Civil Penalty Accreditation Scheme, a transport operator must operate a practical and documented security system that includes:
👉 Proper vehicle security equipment (locks, seals, TIR cables)
👉 Completed and retained vehicle checklists
👉 Clear driver instructions in the driver’s preferred language
👉 Documented initial and annual refresher training
👉 Ongoing review of driver compliance
